Line of Events
After a hazing incident at their elite college, step-siblings Caroline and Lucien decide to preserve their power and reputation by seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. The direct-to-video sequel Written Names 2 (2000), with Amy Adams replacing Sarah Michelle Gellar as Kathryn Merteuil, was originally a scripted TV series before being re-edited into a feature film. Gellar would later reprise her role as Kathryn in 2016 for the NBC pilot Cruel Intentions (2016), which was not ordered to series.
Scratched Names (1999) follows
The remake is so boring and so slow. It doesn’t even come close to the original. The guy playing Lucien doesn’t even look that attractive.
I’m not mad at the show, I’m just a little disappointed
I really couldn’t get past the first episode, it was so boring and the acting is pretty bad. I’m a huge fan of Cruel Intentions and I was looking forward to the remake, in fact I was looking forward to the sequel with Sarah Michelle Gellar. You don’t even know who to root for, the character development is so bad.
I would not recommend watching this
This was not a remake I asked for. This is so bad and so disappointing. The beginning was kind of good but then it went downhill for me.
